Lombard business to provide Medicare seminar for seniors

LOMBARD – To help educate seniors about Medicare enrollment and coverage options, a town hall forum hosted by Humana is being broadcasted to locations throughout the country, including the BreakThrough Care Center, 2050-50 S. Finley Road in Lombard.

The event will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 10 and last about 90 minutes.

During this program, national health care and senior experts will discuss Medicare-related topics and questions that people may have when selecting a Medicare plan. This year's enrollment period for Medicare is Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.

Panel participants will include Sandy Markwood, CEO of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging; Joy Powell, fitness market president for Healthways and a Silver Sneakers National Expert; Debbie Smith, vice president of senior products at Humana; Kevin Meriwether, vice president and division leader of the east division at Humana; and Gail Miller, vice president of telephonic clinical operations at Humana.
