Health fair for seniors Wednesday in Lemont

LEMONT – State Sen. Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) and State Rep. Jim Durkin (R-Burr Ridge) are hosting a Free Senior Health Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Lemont Park District – CORE Fitness Center, 16028 127th St., according to a news release.

There will be free blood sugar, blood pressure and grip strength screenings, balance assessments and thermal posture evaluations. Flu shots will be available for free for those with Medicare B and for $31.99 for those without.

Information will be available about fire safety, healthy eating, assisted living, transportation, phone bill savings, Alzheimer’s disease, veterans assistance, reading programs and other state and local services.
