Streamwood man struck, killed by vehicle in workplace death

A Streamwood man has died after sustaining injuries while working at a maintenance building in Union, according to a news release from the McHenry County Coroner.

Marco O. Aguilar, 59, of the 1400 block of North Green Meadows Blvd., Streamwood, was working at a Pleasant Valley Conservation Area maintenance building at 14308 Hemmingsen Road, Union, when he was struck by a “Bobcat” vehicle being used to prep and grade the floor of the building, the release said.

He suffered multiple injuries to the head, chest, abdomen and bones, according to the release, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The release referred to the occurrence as an accident.

Marengo/Union Fire and Rescue responded to the 911 call, according to the release. The McHenry County Conservation Police, the McHenry County Sheriff's Police and the Occupations Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident.
