ADDISON – It took six tries, but Addison Trail finally has its first win of the season.

The Blazers beat visiting Morton 14-7 on Friday night and both teams now have 1-5 records.

AT scored first and took a 7-0 lead into halftime. An interception returned for a touchdown in the third quarter doubled the lead before Morton took the ensuing kickoff all the way. Neither team scored in the fourth quarter.

The Blazers (1-5, 1-3 West Suburban Gold) will shoot for two in a row at winless Proviso East next Saturday. Morton (1-5, 1-3 WSG) hosts Leyden on Friday.
