Wheaton Warrenville South rebounds, hands Naperville Central first loss

WHEATON – Coming off a week five loss to Naperville North, Wheaton Warrenville South had no time to feel sorry for itself with undefeated Naperville Central coming to town.

And on Friday, the Tigers rose to the challenge, knocking off the Redhawks 14-7 to improve to 5-1 on the fall.

With the game tied at seven-apiece late in the fourth quarter, Ryan Graham capped off a five-play, 42-yard drive with an eight-yard touchdown run with 2:45 remaining in the contest.

Wheaton Warrenville South's defense then forced a turnover on downs, preserving the win.

The Tigers opened the scoring with a two-yard TD run by Isaiah Campos with 3:55 remaining before halftime.

Naperville Central answered with a touchdown just before the end of the third quarter.
