BOLINGBROOK – Bolingbrook's football team put a sluggish start behind it and defeated Lockport 24-3 Friday night.

The Raiders, who improved to 6-0 on the season and 4-0 in the SouthWest Suburban Blue, ran 28 plays in the first half to the Porters' 15 plays, but led just 10-3 at intermission.

Neo Armstrong's 79-yard return on the opening kickoff led to Quincy Woods' 3-yard touchdown run with 9:45 left in the first quarter, but the only other first-half scoring the Raiders could muster was Adam Klein's 39-yard field goal with 7:36 left in the half. Lockport (1-5, 1-3 SWSB) scored on a 35-yard field 11 seconds before halftime.

John Hall capped a 69-yard march with a hard-fought 10-yard scoring run midway through the third quarter, then stretched for a touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter to make it 24-3.

Bolingbrook will travel to face Homewood-Flossmoor in a battle of two 6-0 teams at 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
