LA GRANGE – La Grange police have arrested one man and one juvenile male in connection with two robberies last month, police announced Thursday.

Bruce A. Morris, 18, of La Grange, was charged with two counts of robbery for incidents that occurred Sept. 6 and Sept. 27. A 16-year-old La Grange boy was also charged with two counts of robbery and one count of battery for his alleged involvement in both incidents.

The first robbery took place at about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6 near the 1300 block of West 47th Street when two offenders intimidated a young victim into turning over his money.

The second occurred at about 9 p.m. Friday near Burlington and Spring avenues. Two offenders approached two teenagers and intimidated one into turning over his money. The other refused but had his money and a cell phone forcefully taken. The victims then chased the offenders, and one offender tackled one of the victims before fleeing, police said. The victim was not injured.

Both Morris and the juvenile were to appear in court Thursday in Bridgeview.
