LA GRANGE – Three teenage boys were robbed Friday evening in separate but possibly related incidents, La Grange police said.

The robberies occurred between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. at nearby locations. The first took place at Cossitt and Blackstone avenues, where two males in their late teens to early 20s demanded money from a teenage boy, who complied and turned over $5.

The second occurred a few blocks east at Burlington and Spring avenues. Two men, possibly the same offenders from the first robbery, demanded valuables from two boys. One handed over his money. The other refused, and the offenders took his cell phone and money by force.

After the offenders left, the boy chased them and a physical altercation took place, with the boy retrieving his valuables.

There were no injuries, and police do not think the offenders had weapons.

Both incidents are under investigation.
