DOWNERS GROVE – An ongoing dispute between two neighbors in the 4100 block of Downers Drive resulted in police charging a Downers Grove man with aggravated assault at 6:58 p.m. Sunday.

George A. Brown, 51, 4147 Downers Drive, allegedly crossed the yard dividing his property and a neighbor’s while holding a metal flashlight during an argument and said “one of these days I’m going to bash your head in with this flashlight and kill you while your kids watch.”

He then allegedly walked back to his house and returned to throw rounds of .223 ammunition at the neighbor saying, “Here’s the bullets, go kill yourself.”

No blows were exchanged in the argument, police said.
