Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital to host National Arts exhibit

Published: Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 3:18 p.m. CST

BOLINGBROOK – Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital will play host this year to the second annual exhibit of The National Arts Program for Adventist Midwest Health staff, employees, volunteers and their family.

As it did last year, the National Arts Program has provided $2,400 for prizes in this year’s contest. Last year’s exhibit was both successful and popular, said Sue Kett, who heads Adventist Midwest Health’s Healing Arts Program.

“We are so very fortunate that the National Arts Program continues to support this exhibit,” Kett said. “I look forward to seeing another round of truly beautiful pieces this year.”

In order to qualify, all works must be original works and completed within the last three years.

Registration must be complete by Oct. 25 and artwork must be submitted no later than Oct. 31. Pieces can be delivered to the lobby at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, 500 Remington Blvd. in Bolingbrook.

A reception and awards presentation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Prizes will be awarded in three adult artist categories – amateur, intermediate and professional artists – as well as youth and teen artists.
