Woodridge Park District to host Haunted Forest Walk Oct. 25-26

WOODRIDGE – The 2013 Haunted Forest Walk will be held Oct. 25 and 26 at the Hawthorne Hill Woods.

The woods, 22W221 71st St., will be transformed by the park district into scary scenes with ghouls, ghosts and other creatures. The walk will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 26. Hayrides will depart from the Community Center, 2600 Center Drive.

Saturday afternoon's walk is geared toward children under 9. Parking will be available at Carleton Drive, Village Hall and the Woodridge Public Library on Plaza Drive.

Tickets will be $7 for the evening walks and $5 for the afternoon session. To purchase tickets, visit the Community Center.
