Westmont Fire Department celebrates its 90th anniversary Oct. 13

WESTMONT – The Westmont Fire Department will celebrate its 90th Anniversary Oct. 13 at the Fire Department Headquarters.

The celebration, at 6015 S. Cass Ave., will be an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Westmont Fire Department's open house will include displays by EMS, demostrations b the Dive, Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Teams, a live fire simulator at 2:30 p.m. and more.

The open house will also be promoting National Fire Prevention Week, which is Sunday through Oct. 12. During the week, the fire department will participate in the 19th annual Silent Parade at 7 p.m. Oct. 11.The Silent Parade begins in Hinsdale and travels through Claredon HIlls, Westmont, Downers Grove and Lisle.
