Village of Darien schedules October free brush pickup

DARIEN – The city of Darien has scheduled a free brush pickup for all residents from Oct. 21 through Oct. 25.

All brush needs to be out by no later than the Sunday night prior to the designated pickup week. The chipping crew will make only one pass and may complete a street as soon as Monday morning.

The chipper can accept brush up to 6 inches in diameter and residents should not tie the brush or put it in garbage cans.

Residents can also take take their brush to the Municipal Services Facility, locatedat 1041 S. Frontage Road, and place at the designated location, labeled as "Brush."Brush will be accepted seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
