Hadley ESL students become published authors through Research Labs program

Books written by Adam Ali (left), Merry Tlue and Jose Hernandez in their third-level ESL classes at Hadley Junior High School last year were chosen by the American Reading Company to be published and used as examples of the quality work students can achieve in the company's Research Labs program.

WESTMONT – Children and their families learned the ins and outs of constructing a barn Saturday at the Westmont Public Library.

Beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Kline Creek Farm Heritage Interpreter Denis Buck educated on the importance and function of barns before the kids took the lead and constructed a to-scale model.

Kline led the fun, informative build a barn workshops at 2 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
