Glen Ellyn author, human rights activist to host book signing at local mosque

GLEN ELLYN – Glen Ellyn author and human rights activist Qasim Rashid will discuss his book "The Wrong Kind of Muslim" at a book signing event Oct. 4 at Baet ul Jama'at Mosque in Glen Ellyn.

Rashid's book reveals the untold stories of the growing number of victims of terrorism in Pakistan, who face Taliban suicide bombings, secret police torture and state-sponsored religious persecution, according to a news release about the book.

Rashid also shares the stories of the millions successfully fighting back against these terrors, the release said.

The free event will be held from 5:45 to 8 p.m. at the mosque, located at 2S510 Route 53, just one block north of Butterfield Road.
