Published: Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 10:47 a.m. CDT

WEST CHICAGO – West Chicago residents are invited to "catch the sickness, find the cure" at a special undead geocaching event Oct. 5.

Dressed up as zombies, participants will meet at the West Chicago Public Library District at 2 p.m. and then head to Reed-Keppler Park in West Chicago for geocaching, which involves using GPS devices to find hidden items.

For those who are new to geocaching, a tutorial will be held at the library, 118 W. Washington St., at 1 p.m. Participants who have a GPS device or GPS-enabled smartphone are asked to bring it to the tutorial.

All children at the event must be accompanied by an adult.

Geocaching will end at 4 p.m.
