LA GRANGE PARK – More than 800 Nazareth Academy students and faculty will participate in the school's WALK fundraiser Oct. 4.

Students collected pledges before the event, when they will walk 3.5 miles through the village to raise money for the school's operating income and to benefit current students. Last year's WALK raised more than $180,000.

Members of the student WALK Committee have been meeting since April to plan the event, creating videos, announcements and incentives to prepare students and faculty.
