Hurder: Valley View eager to provide parents with updated K-3 report cards
When Valley View students bring home their report card on Oct. 24, parents will notice helpful changes.
In collaboration with teachers and parents over the past two years, the school district developed a standards-based report card for students in kindergarten through third grade.
These new report cards are an extremely valuable tool for reporting each student’s progress at school. The district hopes to communicate to parents what students know and can do in key subjects, instead of simply providing a grade based on points that students have earned on homework and tests.
