Villa Park Lions Club prepares to take to the streets for donations
VILLA PARK – During the weekend of Oct. 11 and 12, members of the Villa Park Lions Club will be stationed at street corners throughout town collecting donations to support the vision and hearing services offered by the Villa Park Lions Club and the Lions of Illinois Foundation.
"Money raised on Oct. 11 and 12 will allow Lions to meet pressing needs in our community, including those who have nowhere else to turn for eye exams, eye glasses, low vision aids, artificial eyes and hearing aids. Lions members thank everyone who contributes to this important work. You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community."
There are 27 members of the Villa Park Lions Club, and membership is open to anyone who wants to serve the community and other residents in need. The club meets at noon on the second Thursday of every month at High View Restaurant, 425. W. St. Charles Road, and the at 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month at the Villa Park Public Library.
