Lisle-Woodridge Fire District hosts Nation Fire Prevention Week events

WOODRIDGE – National Fire Prevention Week will kick off Oct. 6 through Oct. 12. Throughout the week, the Lisle Woodridge Fire District will host two separate events.

The Fire District will host the annual Fire Prevention Week Awards Oct. 10 at the Station One Headquarters. The event, at 1005 School St., in Lisle, will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Along with the awards, the district will also hold a Community Fire District Day, Oct 12. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Woodridge and Lisle residents are invited to visit the firehouse, meet the firefighters, learn more about fire safety and tour the station.
