ADDISON – The four women killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 290 in Addison last week have been identified.

Maria Orellana, Donna Mejia, Maria Duran and Juanna Anaya died after the Ford Explorer they were riding in Thursday morning rolled over on I-290 west of Route 83.

The DuPage County Coroner's Office has not determined the age or hometown of Orellana or Mejia. Duran and Anaya, both 44, were from Chicago.

Illinois State Police responded to the crash which happened about 6 a.m. Preliminary reports revealed a Ford Explorer rolled over ejecting several occupants. Police believe the SUV was the only vehicle involved.

The driver, Margot Santillan, 31, of Chicago, was charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, no valid driver's license, no insurance and suspended registration for no insurance, according to the Illinois State Police.

Santillan and three men were transported to area hospitals for injuries varying from non-life threatening to serious. No children were involved.

The Explorer was speeding in excess of 55 mph and some of the occupants were ejected from the vehicle, according to media reports. Several passengers were not wearing seatbelts; Santillan and the front seat passenger were wearing seatbelts, police said.

Westbound I-290 was closed for several hours before reopening at 10:45 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
