Four Lemont high schoolers named National Merit Commended Students

LEMONT – Lemont High School seniors Jarrod Hanson, Lucas Heatherington, Zachary Krepps and Anna Zechel have been named as National Merit Commended Students, according to a news release from Lemont High School.

The honor is based on scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

According to the release, about 34,000 of the 1.5 million who take the test earn Commended status, ranking the four Lemont students among the top 5 percent in the class of 2014.
