Woodridge set to name its first-ever female police chief on Thursday

WOODRIDGE – The Village of Woodridge is expected to name a new Chief of Police during Thursday's board meeting.

Deputy Chief Gina Grady will be the first-ever female Chief of Police at the Woodridge Police Department, according to officials. Grady has been with the department for 27 years and has been serving as the Acting Chief since Chief Boehm retired this past August.

The board meeting is open to the public and will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Village Hall, 5 Plaza Drive.
