LOMBARD – Paramedics transported two people to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning after an SUV drove through the window of a physical therapy business in unincorporated DuPage County near Lombard, said Chief Andrew Bonomo of the York Center Fire Protection District.

The incident happened about 10 a.m. Tuesday at ATI Physical Therapy, 18W435 Roosevelt Road. Bonomo said the driver of the SUV had a medical emergency that resulted in the vehicle crashing through the window of the business.

The driver of the vehicle and a client receiving physical therapy inside the business were transported to area hospitals for treatment, but their injuries were not serious, Bonomo said.

The business is shut down until repairs can be completed, he said.

York Center Fire Protection District was assisted by the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Department and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.
