HINSDALE

Unlawful possession charged

• A 17-year-old male juvenile from Hinsdale was charged with possession of tobacco at 8:40 a.m. Sept. 18 at Hinsdale Central High School. The suspect was observed chewing tobacco during gym class. Suspect was issued a local ordinance citation and sent back to class.

• A 16-year-old female juvenile from Hinsdale was charged with possession of tobacco at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 16 at Hinsdale Central High School. Suspect was observed smoking a cigarette and was in possession of a pack of cigarettes. Suspect was issued a local ordinance citation and sent back to class.

• A 17-year-old male juvenile from Hinsdale was charged with illegal possession of tobacco at 11 a.m. Sept. 17 at Hinsdale Central High School. The suspect was observed chewing tobacco during gym class. Suspect was issued a local ordinance and sent back to class.

Theft reported

Victim reported her engagement ring, wedding band and her husband's wedding band went missing from her residence sometime between noon on Sept. 3 and noon on Sept. 16 in the 600 block of North County Line Road. Victim had workers authorized to be doing work in her house during the time frame the jewelry went missing.

Disorderly conduct reported

• An unknown suspect intentionally pulled the fire alarm on three separate incidents causing false activation between 4:28 and 5:38 a.m. Sept. 20 and again at 9:41 a.m. Sunday at 140 North County Line Road.

• A suspect was observed on video surveillance writing on the building and grounds with yellow chalk at 8 p.m. Sept. 19 at ACU Health Center, 736 North York Road.

Theft of service reported

An unknown suspect took a cab from Chicago to Hinsdale and fled without paying the fare totaling $58 at 2:04 a.m. Sunday at Princeton Road and Woodside Avenue.

Burglary reported

An unknown suspect broke the victim's car window and stole a child's purse and wallet containing two gift cards worth $50 between 8 and 10:44 a.m. Monday in the 10 block of South Vine Street.

Hit and run reported

A witness observed a suspect hit a parked car and left the scene without leaving information between 11 a.m. and noon Sept. 19 in the Adventist Hinsdale Hospital parking garage, 120 North Oak St.
