LOMBARD – Paul Mitchell the School-Lombard will open at Yorktown Center on Oct. 6 and will have the facilities to train 300 students at once in hair styling and care.

"I'm so excited to welcome Paul Mitchell the School-Lombard to the Paul Mitchell family," said Winn Claybaugh, dean of Paul Mitchell Schools. "Like every school in our network, the owners and staff share our common mission of doing so much more than merely producing beauty school graduates. We're out to change the industry by making better human beings."

Paul Mitchell schools train students in cosmetology, but the organization is also involved in several charitable organizations. The network supports Habitat for Humanity, has raised money for orphans in Africa, and for victims of AIDS, breast cancer, homelessness, hurricanes, abuse and many other causes.
