Glen Ellyn Kitchen Walk to benefit Bridge Communities

Published: Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 11:48 a.m. CDT

GLEN ELLYN – The Glen Ellyn Kitchen Walk, organized by Baird & Warner Real Estate and presented by Drury Design in Glen Ellyn, will showcase various kitchens throughout the village to raise money for local nonprofit Bridge Communities.

As part of National Kitchen and Bath Month, the event Oct. 11 will start with tours of six designer kitchens from noon until 6 p.m. One kitchen remodeling was performed by Drury Design, leading the homeowners to redesign the home’s entire first level.

After the walk, Sub-Zero and Wolf Corporate Chef Craig Bell will host a gourmet tasting reception at Drury Design from 5 until 8 p.m.

Menu items will include confit peppers stuffed with goat cheese, shrimp salad snow cones, caprese skewers, blue cheese steak bites and pizzetta.

All Glen Ellyn Kitchen Walk ticket sales and silent auction donations will benefit the services Bridge Communities provides to homeless families in DuPage County.

To get more information or purchase a $25 ticket, visit the Bridge Communities website at bridgecommunities.org. Tickets may also be purchased Oct. 11 at any of the participating homes for $30.
