WESTMONT – The Westmont Village Board approved several ordinances for a proposed Mariano's grocery store at 150 W. 63rd St. on Thursday.

The proposed store is expected to go before the board for a final vote at 7 p.m. Oct. 17.

The ordinances, approved unanimously by the board, included site and landscaping approval, two wall signs with one ground sign, sidewalk or tent sales, property designs and parking space dimensions.

If approved in October, the proposed 71,000-square-foot building would be Mariano's seventh Chicago area location.

The company hopes to open by 2016.
