Police: Man charged after watching porn at Westmont Library, twice

WESTMONT – A Westmont man faces obscenity and disorderly conduct charges after he was allegedly caught viewing online pornography in the youth services area in the Westmont Public Library on two separate occasions, according to Westmont Police.

Steven Beckow, 42, 230 W. Burlington Ave., was charged Sept. 18 after admitting to browsing porn websites on computers in plain view of other patrons in two incidents on Sept. 4 and Sept. 8, police said.

Beckow's Internet privileges were revoked by the library after the Sept. 4 incident, according to Thompson.

His bail was set at $15,000.
