Fire causes $75,000 damage to Bolingbrook home Sunday

BOLINGBROOK – A Bolingbrook family escaped injury when fire caused about $75,000 damage to their home early Sunday morning.

Firefighters arrived at the single-family frame home at 152 Pepperwood Drive and found smoke and flames coming out of the roof in a rear corner of the home at 5:28 a.m.

Battalion Chief Dan Graf said firefighters worked about 90 minutes to extingush the blaze.

The homeowners were home when the blaze started but escaped without injury, Graf said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
