Upcoming public hearings will address proposed DuPage County budget

DuPage County residents will have two chances to voice their opinions on the County Board's proposed 2014 budget, according to a county news release.

The city halls of Warrenville and Elmhurst will each host a public hearing on the $434.4 million budget. Residents will also have the opportunity to learn more about the county's $86.5 million capital plan to facilitate stormwater, drainage and railroad construction projects.

The hearings will be held:

• 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Warrenville City Hall, 28W701 Stafford Place, Warrenville

• 7 p.m. Oct. 1 at Elmhurst City Hall, 209 N. York St., Elmhurst
