DARIEN – From 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 26, the parking lot at the Indian Prairie Public Library will be set up to accept recycling and shredding materials (four box limit).

In partnership with S.C.A.R.C.E., the Lions Club, DuPage County and the VFW, local residents can drop off several items to be recycled, including bicycles, cardboard, cell phones, electronics, eyeglasses, ink cartridges, keys and toys.

For Veterans’ Day, the library will be collecting worn flags at its Come to the Cabaret program at 2 p.m. Nov. 10.
