Lisle police arrest six, cite 15 in Labor Day crackdown
LISLE – The Lisle Police Department's participation in Illinois’ annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” drunk driving campaign resulted in more than six significant arrests and 15 citations Aug. 16 to Sept. 2.
“I am proud of our officers for their hard work and dedication to making our community’s road safer,” Cmdr. Ron Wilke said. “Drunk driving is more than a reckless choice by a few individuals. Each year, drunk driving costs the lives of thousands on America’s highways."
The Lisle Police Department joined forces with hundreds of police agencies across Illinois and nearly 10,000 law enforcement agencies across the country in this year’s campaign.
