Closures expected for 2013 Resurfacing Project in Hinsdale
HINSDALE – As part of the 2013 Resurfacing Project, the intersection of Chicago and Garfield avenues, north of the BNSF railroad tracks, will be closed on Sept. 30 for resurfacing.
To minimize the inconvenience to traffic in the area, the closure and associated resurfacing operations will start at 4 a.m., according to the village's website. The village anticipates the contractor will complete the repaving process by noon.
During the closure, vehicle traffic may cross the BNSF tracks at the Oak Street Bridge and at the Washington or Lincoln street crossings. Pedestrians will still have access to the Garfield railroad crossing.
