Adventist Hinsdale Hospital to host Pink Tree Lighting Ceremony

HINSDALE – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital will host a Pink Tree Lighting Ceremony Oct. 1.

The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. in the patient pavilion lobby at the hospital, 120 North Oak St. in Hinsdale.

As part of the ceremony, there will be a panel discussion. Dr. Patricia Madej will discuss cancer treatment options at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital; Jeannine Arias, associate clinical director of oncology and navigation services will highlight services the hospital provides cancer patients; and former patient Claudine Consalvo will share her own treatment experience.

The evening will also feature a performance by the Hinsdale Adventist Academy choir and refreshments. The winners of the Pink Ribbon Art Contest will be announced during the ceremony, and a silent auction will be held where people can purchase artwork submitted for the contest.

Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Open Arms Breast Cancer Outreach Fund.
