Jedlicka Performing Arts Center to present 'Streetcar'

CICERO - Jedlicka Performing Arts Center has launched its 2013-14 season with Tennessee Williams’ "A Streetcar Named Desire," playing the weekends of Sept. 20 and 27, at the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, 3801 S. Central Ave. in Cicero.

Directed by Christopher Pazdernik, the story is set in New Orleans during the restless years after World War II, the drama follows Blanche DuBois, a fragile and neurotic woman desperately searching for a place in the world to call her own. When Blanche arrives unannounced at the doorstep of her sister Stella and short-fused brother-in-law Stanley, the visit triggers an unexpected and explosive series of events over the course of the hot and steamy summer. The play earned Williams the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for Drama

The cast includes: Anslee Burns, Ashley Dearborn, Kirstin Franklin, Carl Herzog, Justin Kilduff, Katherine Lamb, Kristin Lutzeier, Michael Nedza, Adam Overberg, Mark Walsh and Brian Zane.
