BROOKFIELD – The SOKOL Spirit Organization is holding an Oktoberfest open house on Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m. All are welcome.

The Kelly Miller Circus will perform at Ehlert Park on Monday, Sept. 16 for performances at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are available at the Village Hall.

The Brookfield Conservation Commission will celebrate the village’s Salt Creek at their event “Meet the Creek,” on Saturday from 12:30 p.m., to 4 p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to paddle the creek in a canoe and interact with native reptiles provided by the Chicago Herpetological Society.

Those interested are encouraged to sign up early, as spots on the canoes go quickly.
