Free SMART Technology Conference designed for all area educators

ROMEOVILLE – Registration is now underway for the Semiannual Valley View School District SMART User Group mini-conference scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28 at Romeoville's Lukancic Middle School.

Educators from throughout the area are eligible to explore the many unique applications of the latest SMART Technology.

Sponsored by Valley View’s Instructional Technology Department and SMART Technologies' Education Solutions Specialist Mike McGowan, the free event will feature concurrent mini-sessions on a variety of SMART-related topics presented by local SMART Exemplary Educators and other distinguished Instructional Technology Professionals.

Doors open at 8 a.m. when a complimentary breakfast will be served. Sessions will get underway by 9 a.m. The User Group will end around noon.

Conference organizers are also seeking presenters knowledgeable in SMART technology for some of the break-out sessions. Certified staff will receive 3 CPDUs for attending.
