Michael Ledonne of Lombard has announced his plans to run for a District 2 seat on the DuPage County Board in the 2014 election.

LOMBARD – Michael Ledonne of Lombard announced Friday his plans to run for a District 2 seat to the DuPage County Board in the upcoming 2014 election. Ledonne was previously appointed to the board to fill a retirement in 2012.

District 2 includes portions of Lombard, Villa Park, Elmhurst, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Brook, Westmont, Downers Grove, Lisle, Naperville, Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills.

Ledonne has an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and works in logistics management for Sears Holdings in Hoffman Estates, according to a news release. He currently serves on advisory boards for the Village of Lombard and York Township, and he is a volunteer with St. Pius X Parish School, Boy Scouts and the 100 Club of DuPage, which benefits local police and firefighters.

"I believe that our efforts to consolidate and eliminate redundant forms of government within DuPage County will allow all of our residents to continue the high quality of life we currently have, and together we can make a reality of our hope that the best days of DuPage County are ahead of us," he said.
