Civil Air Patrol to host open house at DuPage Airport in West Chicago

WEST CHICAGO – Community members are invited to attend an open house at DuPage Airport in West Chicago for the Fox Valley Composite Squadron, the local unit of the Civil Air Patrol, which is the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.

The open house will take place from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the airport, 32W581 Tower Road, West Chicago. DuPage Airport serves as the Civil Air Patrol's Illinois Wing Headquarters.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event and learn about the Civil Air Patrol.

The open house will feature aircraft displays, flight simulators, an aircraft emergency locator demonstration, a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) project by cadets, a safety seminar on Civil Air Patrol's search and rescue program during emergencies, various informational booths and food.
