WESTERN SPRINGS – The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce will host a number of state legislators at its Toast with the Most event Sept. 23.

The chamber has invited legislators representing the western suburbs to participate in a legislative affairs-themed discussion. Local business owners will have the chance to ask questions about the legislators' goals as it relates to business.

The event will begin with a welcome from U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski and will be moderated by Thom Serafin, communications and public affairs strategist.

Serafin will pose questions to the panel regarding Illinois fiscal and social policy. In the past, questions have surrounded topics such as pension, workers' compensation, minimum wage and sales and property tax.

The event will take place at the Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Ave. in Western Springs. For more information, contact Katherine Leibforth at 708-387-7550 or katherinel@wscci.org.
