Park district, garden club to hold Prairie Day on Sunday

LOMBARD – The Lombard Park District is collaborating with the Lombard Garden Club to host Prairie Day, a special program designed to educate residents about the Illinois prairie. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Terrace View Park near Elizabeth Street and Greenfield Avenue.

There will be educational segments, 19th century demonstrations by the Lombard Historical Society, crafts, games, music and a hayride. There will also be representatives from Flint Creek with a selection of wildlife for children to see.
