New park district class teaches technology at early age

CLARENDON HILLS – The Clarendon Hills Park District will present a new class for young children "Discover Kids Puterbugs" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoons at the Community Center, Sept. 20 through Oct. 25. 

Designed for boys and girls ages 3-7, this class is designed to encourage children to explore technology at a young age, through keyboarding, STEM initiatives, creative problem solving, school readiness and common core curriculum.

All "Puterbug Detectives" enrolling in this class explore various missions embracing digital learning and technology education. Each child enrolled in the program will have his/her own computer to use throughout each class session.

There is a $74 resident fee ($93 non-resident) to participate in this activity. Participants are asked to register in advance.
