Lemont library has new features for tech-savvy patrons

LEMONT – The Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend St., has introduced a new scanning station and is participating in a library card phone app program, according to a library news release.

Patrons can scan photos, books and documents into a PDF, JPEG or an editable Word document and either save it to a USB drive or email it to themselves. Machine use is free of charge.

Patrons can install the CardStar app in order to use their phones to check out items and use the library's public computers and printers.
