HINSDALE – William Conger has been called “the dean of Chicago’s abstract painters.”
Using digital images, Conger will present a brief overview of his work, highlighting his studio process and the role of subject matter and its meaning in his abstract painting. Light refreshments will be served.
The event will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the library, 20 East Maple St.
The professor emeritus of art theory and practice at Northwestern University, Conger’s work hangs in collections and museums across the country, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Hinsdale Public Library.
