First Ward aldermen to host discussion on Addison and Hahn projects

Published: Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

ELMHURST – First ward residents are invited to a coffee and conversation meeting to discuss the Hahn Street proposals and the Addison Avenue parking deck project with residents.

Both First Ward Aldermen, Diana Gutenkauf and Marti Deuter, are looking for input from residents on the Hahn Street proposals the council heard this week. Finalists will be asked to present more detailed proposals in October, and a final decision on the project is expected in November, so that construction can begin in the spring.

The council is also discussing the height and design of the proposed Addison Avenue parking deck.

The First Ward meeting will be Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Elmhurst Public Library's Kossmann Room. An evening meeting is also anticipated for the following week on the same topics.
