Robert J. Taglia, 41, of the 100 block of North Wisconsin Avenue in Villa Park was charged Monday with disorderly conduct after an alleged dispute with a neighbor. He was re-elected as a village trustee in April, and his term expires in 2017.

VILLA PARK – A charge of disorderly conduct breach of peace was filed against Robert J. Taglia, Villa Park trustee, in the Circuit Court of DuPage County on Monday, according to the court's database.

The charge reportedly arose after a dispute between Taglia, 41, and a neighbor. According to media reports, Taglia confronted his neighbor in the 100 block of North Wisconsin Avenue after her 10-year-old son struck his 4-year-old son with a toy baseball bat.

Taglia was re-elected to a second four-year term in April. Efforts to reach him for comment were unsuccessful.

According to court records, Taglia previously pleaded guilty in 2010 to driving under the influence of alcohol in 2009.
