Published: Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 2:42 p.m. CDT

LISLE – A man seen taking photographs at Lisle's Community Park Aug. 28 was actually a Lisle police officer participating in a department exercise, according to Lisle police.

A concerned citizen called police Aug. 28 to report a male subject taking photos in the park.

"After reviewing this incident it was determined that the subject in the park taking photos was actually a sworn police officer participating in an Advanced Evidence Technician course hosted by the Lisle Police Department," a release from the Lisle Police Department stated.

"Part of the course curriculum was to take photos in low light in and around the Lisle Community Park area. This course was attended by officers from various police departments for three days from [Aug. 28 to Aug. 30]."

Lisle police encouraged the community to continue to contact authorities of any suspicious incidents.
