Tibbott Recycling and Environmental Fair planned for Sept. 28

BOLINGBROOK – Tibbott Elementary School in Bolingbrook is sponsoring a Recycling and Environmental Fair on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Admission is free, and the event will include a community recycling drop-off site behind the school for clothes, shoes, blankets and electronics from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entries to the drop-off site will be on Queenswood Drive and Laurie Circle.

The Environmental Fair will run from noon to 2 p.m. Among scheduled activities will be visits to the school’s edible garden, a "Lights for Learning" booth, a Will County Health Department and Land Use Department booth and the Lewis University Recycle Relay. Other exhibitors such as Hidden Oaks Nature Preserve, Nicor, Goodwill and the Forest Preserve of Will County will also be on hand.

Several food options will also be available with portions of the proceeds going to support the edible garden.
