Lombard police to hold car seat check

LOMBARD – Members of the Lombard Police Department will participate in National Seat Check on Sept. 21 at Target, 60 Yorktown Center.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., certified passenger safety technicians will be at Target to ensure that child car seats are properly installed and to give parents, grandparents and guardians information about car seat safety.

This event is being held in connection with Lombard's participation in National Child Passenger Safety Week, which runs from Sept. 15 to 21. During the week, more than 80 events throughout Illinois will be sponsored by AAA, the Secretary of State and Illinois Department of Transportation.
